Ballack stunned to see Chelsea pal Lampard shunned for player of the year honours

Michael Ballack is astonished that his Chelsea midfield partner Frank Lampard has not been short-listed for the PFA player of the year award.[LNB]Lampard produced another fine performance in the goalless draw against Everton on Wednesday night but could not unlock their stubborn defence.[LNB]However, the England international set up both goals as Chelsea beat Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday to reach the FA Cup final and was inspirational in their dramatic 4-4 draw with Liverpool that saw Chelsea progress to the Champions League semi-finals.[LNB] Firing squad: A fearful-looking Liverpool wall face a Frank Lampard free kick[LNB]'Frank has played consistently at a high level all season,' said Ballack.
