Ballack hints at Blues exit

Michael Ballack has hinted that his time with Chelsea could be over if the club fail to secure major silverware this term. Ballack, 33, signed a renewed contract in the summer which ties him to Stamford Bridge until 2010. However, he admits that, beyond that, his future is uncertain as he remains desperate to add to his medal collection. Since joining Chelsea in 2006, Ballack has secured two FA Cup winners' medals as well as one League Cup success. Keen to better his achievements so far, the German midfielder admits his future in London will very much depend on Chelsea's success this season. "What is important for me is winning titles and that's why I also want to play in a team that is hungry for success," he told the Evening Standard. "I signed an extension just recently and I hope that I will continue to be successful in the future. "Any discussions I have in the future, though, will be made after due consideration and I will discuss everything with the club and with my family." Despite his admission, Ballack insists he is happy at Chelsea - a club he deems as one of the best in the world. The Blues midfielder, though, admitted that his dream of winning major trophies is fading with age. "At my age you think in shorter time frames and I am already playing for one of the best clubs in the world," he added. "I'm very much at home in London and I can imagine seeing out my career at Chelsea. "It's very important for us this year to win the Premier League again after a three-year wait. "We want to take England by storm but winning the Champions League is a big personal aim of mine."
