Bad week for Mourinho as Inter owner Moratti interferes but Jose hits back at Ancelotti

Jose Mourinho suffered another blow when his ambitions for this season were called into question by Inter president Massimo Moratti. Former Chelsea boss Mourinho has had a bad weekend, with Glen Johnson saying that he suffered a breakdown in trust with the Portuguese manager while the pair worked together. Mourinho, persistently linked with a Barclays Premier League return since leaving Chelsea, is not having things all his own way at Inter. The club is believed to have signed Steve McClaren's star striker at Twente - Marko Arnautovic - this weekend without Mourinho's knowledge. Mourinho is famously a man who does not welcome interference from owners. Moratti added to the pressure being put on Mourinho by calling into question his comments made to Italian journalists. Mourinho had said that Inter's squad is not one of the strongest in Europe. But Moratti responded: 'I know Mourinho. He likes to provoke fans and journalists. 'He creates a situation to charge himself and the team up, which is what he did in the press conference. I don't think we are that far away from the best teams in Europe. 'We will not need a miracle to perform better than last year in the European Cup. Everyone starts out with the intention to win but with a lot of attention to avoid mistakes. It will be important not to make mistakes.' When questioned if Inter can win the Champions League, Moratti replied: 'Yes, I think it's within our reach so I don't want any alibis.' In Mourinho's controversial press conference, he also kept up his long-running feud with new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti by saying: 'Ancelotti is no friend of mine.' Inter have been linked with Chelsea's Deco and Ricardo Carvalho but Mourinho denied he is searching for players to bolster his squad, although the club is reportedly weighing up a part-exchange deal involving Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mourinho claimed: 'Inter squad? It's complete.'
