Chelsea coach is positive after draw

"We should have won a very inspirational game in adversity,' claimed Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas after his side drew 1-1 against Spurs tonight.

"We constantly adapted and it was a moral win for us," he added.

"We showed our technical ability and passing and to do that at Spurs was terrific.

"We regret going a goal down early but created enough chance to win, had we did not concede we would have won.

"We showed great personality."

Speaking about the goal they conceded, Villas-Boas was not going to be crtitical of his stopper.

"Cech is a fantastic goalkeeper, it does not matter that he might have got the ball. There was no one who did not play badly.

"We are now open in the league but we have two home games to come and will try to get the six points."

With skipper John Terry in the news for non-football reasons, Villas-Boas said: "John Terry has been playing well ever since the situation happened. His performance has grown and he has shown his character and personality."

Villas-Boas even had word of comfort for his midfielder Ramires who missed a second-half sitter: "Ramires is our top player on one to one situations, But there are no negatives from me from that performance tonight."
