England will start their World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign with a trip to the Group 6 minnows Andorra in September.
Just four days later England face a tough trip to Croatia, the team that beat them 3-2 at Wembley two months ago to end their hopes of qualifying for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland this summer.
In October, Fabio Capello's side have a home clash with Kazakhstan before travelling to Belarus for their last competitive encounter of 2008.
England's first qualifying game in 2009 takes place on April Fool's Day when Ukraine visit Wembley, and they travel to Kazakhstan in June before entertaining Andorra.
In September 2009, Capello's side face a potentially crucial home match with Slaven Bilic's Croatia side before finishing the campaign with a trip to Ukraine and a home match with Belarus in October.
