Ancelotti's Blues deserve to rule England

TEAMtalk's Simon Wilkes expects Chelsea to be crowned kings of England at Stamford Bridge on Sunday - and thinks they fully deserve to be.[LNB] Frank Lampard believes Chelsea deserve to be crowned Premier League champions for their fine form in the last few months - but I think they deserve it for their season as a whole.[LNB]Things did not look good for Carlo Ancelotti and co following a 4-2 defeat by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge back in February.[LNB]But the Italian ensured his Blues troops kept their composure - and they now stand on the brink of a league and FA Cup Double in his first season in charge, with just Wigan and Portsmouth standing in his way.[LNB]Ancelotti was charged by Roman Abramovich with the task of making the Blues win with a swagger - and boy have they done that this season.[LNB]In essence they are two points clear of Manchester United due to their superior goal difference, which has been massively bolstered by them smashing seven past three opponents, with Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke on the receiving end.[LNB]They've also put five goals past Blackburn and Portsmouth, four past Bolton, Wolves and West Ham, and three past Sunderland, Burnley, Spurs, Wigan, Arsenal, Everton and Birmingham.[LNB]They're the leading scorers in the division, having netted 95 times so far, and it might be worth a punt on them reaching the century mark with a five-star display against Roberto Martinez's Latics, who beat them at the DW Stadium earlier this season - meaning revenge will be on the Chelsea players' minds.[LNB]Finally they've delivered the goods against their biggest rivals, with Sunday's win at Anfield meaning they've done the double over United, Arsenal and Liverpool - beating their London neighbours 5-0 on aggregate to boot.[LNB]With the momentum they've picked up on their recent nine-game unbeaten run, it would be foolish to back against them finishing a vintage campaign with a flourish against the Latics and then Pompey at Wembley.[LNB]And if Ancelotti does get to lift two trophies before turning his thoughts to next season, he'll be able to bask in the glory of pulling off a quite perfect Italian job.
