Ancelotti set for Terry talks

New Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is seeking talks with John Terry amid continuing reports linking the Blues and England skipper with a move to Manchester City.

Ancelotti will hold his first press conference since being confirmed in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat on Monday morning.

But the Italian coach is expected to face an immediate barrage of questions about the future of his captain.

Reports on Sunday suggested that Terry could hand in a transfer request later this month as City continue to chase his signature.

The ambitious Eastlands club have already seen two bids for the 28-year-old defender rejected so far this summer.

City are reportedly ready to offer the England captain a weekly wage in excess of £200,000 to make the move to the City of Manchester Stadium.

Terry has three more years to run on his current contract and has said in the past that he wanted to spend his entire career at Stamford Bridge.
