Ancelotti not ruling out chance of treble
Carlo Ancelotti has not ruled out Chelsea winning more than two major trophies this season - but would gladly take a repeat of last term's double success. The Blues kick off their 2010/11 campaign on Sunday at the venue where they ended the 2009/10 season: Wembley. After the Community Shield clash with Manchester United, the real business begins for Ancelotti's men as they try to defend their Barclays Premier League and FA Cup successes. That represented the most successful season in the club's history, but there was still a twinge of disappointment at Stamford Bridge as the Champions League once again proved elusive.Despite losing big-name players in the shape of Michael Ballack and Joe Cole this summer, Ancelotti insists he still has a squad capable of competing - and even winning - on all fronts.Asked if Chelsea could win more than two major trophies, he said: "More? Maybe. I think that last year, we did the best. I think every player did the best possible. We want to do the same. We are able to do this."The Italian added: "I think we have to be competitive in all the competitions, not only in the Premier League and not just in the Champions League. Obviously, they are fantastic competitions. We did very well in the Premier League; we hope to do better in the Champions League."
