Ancelotti: I'm going nowhere

23 Mar 2010 - 15:38:06

Carlo Ancelotti sees his future at Chelsea after claiming the Stamford Bridge club can still win the Premier League title this season.

The future of the former AC Milan boss has come under the spotlight after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Blackburn saw them lose further ground to Manchester United and Arsenal in the title race.

Last week's Champions League exit at the last 16 stage at the hands of Internazionale has also added to the speculation surrounding the Italian's future.

However, Ancelotti has dismissed speculation that he could leave after just one season at the helm and has sounded a rallying cry ahead of Wednesday's trip to Portsmouth.

"I have two more years of contract and I have no problem confirming this," he declared.

"We're still involved in the Premier League and the FA Cup.

"We have less opportunity to win after last week because we lost two points at Blackburn, but we can have a chance again to win this title and we will do everything we can to win this title.

"I am optimistic. I want to believe we can win the championship and I want to stay focused on my job and give my players knowledge to win their next games."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Petr Cech will return from injury for the trip to Fratton Park.

Cech has been sidelined with a calf injury and has missed the last five games.
