Ancelotti - Lamps not a worry

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti insists he is not worried about Frank Lampard's goal drought. The England midfielder has not found the back in the last eight games but the Blues boss is happy with the 31-year-old's contribution to the team. Ancelotti's side take on Liverpool in a crunch game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with the corresponding fixture last term resulting in the Reds ending Chelsea's 86-game unbeaten home record. The Italian manager will be hoping they can return to their early season form, which propelled them to the top of the table, and he has no concerns about his midfield star. "I am not worried because Lampard will score (eventually) and he is working hard for the team, for me this is important," the Blues boss said. Goalkeeper absence Chelsea will have to be without goalkeeper Petr Cech for the visit of the Reds after he was sent off in the 3-1 defeat to Wigan last Saturday. And the Czech Republic international has warned his team they will have to play better against Rafael Benitez's side than they did when they beat Apoel Nicosia in the UEFA Champions League. "The first half we did well and you could see the game against Wigan was an exception and that was all forgotten," he said. "But sometimes football can be cruel. You play well but you give away two or three balls and suddenly everything changes. "We gave the ball back to them (Nicosia) and when you are in a momentum like that, then you have to start thinking about defending and have to fight."
