Ancelotti: Terry is captain fantastic

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that John Terry will remain captain of the club despite allegations regarding the defender's private life. Terry returned to work at Turf Moor after allegations of an affair with an ex-girlfriend of former team-mate Wayne Bridge were made public and headed an 83rd-minute winner against Burnley. Steven Fletcher had pulled the home side level after Nicolas Anelka opened the scoring for the Blues. The allegations have led to speculation regarding Terry's position as England captain, but Ancelotti was adamant there would be no change in the leadership at Stamford Bridge. Ancelotti said: "There is no discussion about this (the captaincy). I don't know why you ask me this. The players will never lose their trust in him. It was a good moment for Terry on the pitch. But he also played well against Birmingham in midweek. "I did not speak with him. It wasn't necessary because he did well in training on Friday. It was not in my mind he wouldn't play. I do not want to talk about his personal life. He is doing his job very well, every day, every training session. For this (reason) I am not worried."
