Ancelotti reflects on further failings

Carlo Ancelotti was left to rue another day of missed chances for his Chelsea side as they crashed out of the FA Cup at home to Everton. The Toffees won 4-3 on spot-kicks after stunning the holders with a 119th-minute equaliser just as it looked as if their Wembley dream had died for another year. It was Chelsea's hopes of an historic hat-trick of FA Cup successes that ultimately lay in tatters, as their misfiring season threatened to unravel completely - with the club in real danger of their worst finish to a season since Roman Abramovich bought the club. "We deserved to win," said Ancelotti, whose side now must beat FC Copenhagen in the last 16 of the Champions League to stand any realistic chance of ending the season with silverware. "Obviously, we are not happy but we have to look forward, to use these days, the next days, to recover well, to recover energy and to prepare well (for) the next game in the Champions League. "I think that we have the time. It will not be easy but we have the time."
