Carlo Ancelotti fully expects Joe Cole to remain a Chelsea player next season.

Cole's future has become a major talking point as his contract with the Blues ends this summer, with so sign of a new deal on the horizon.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been credited with an interest in recent weeks, but Ancelotti foresees Cole's future to remain with Chelsea.

'I think Joe will stay here,' Ancelotti said prior to Sunday's vital game against Wigan.

'In January I said nobody would come in and nobody came in. So I think Joe will stay.

'We have 10 days to wait because the club will speak with Joe Cole and the other players who are going to be out of contract after the FA Cup final.'

Ancelotti also dismissed the notion that Didier Drogba would be granted penalty taking duties in order to help him achieve the Golden Boot.

'Didier's had a fantastic season and scored 36 goals. That's good for him and I am happy for him because he's been fantastic.

'But Lampard will take the penalty first. Second choice will be Drogba.'
