Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia has dismissed talk of a January transfer window switch to England to join Chelsea.
The 24-year-old, who was part of Italy's World Cup-winning squad last summer, says he is more than happy to stay put, despite being talked of as a possible stand-in for the injured Peter Cech at Stamford Bridge.
Amelia told reporters: "It would seem disrespectful to talk about this.
"There is a colleague who is out injured and doesn't know if he will return to play again. My thoughts are with Cech.
"In any case, the last decision is taken by our president, Aldo Spinelli, and I believe we will reach an agreement to extend my contract.
"My aim is to continue to play in Italy."
Amelia has been with Livorno for just over two years, having previously played for AS Roma, Lecce and Parma.
