Alves claims Chelsea interest

FC Porto central defender Bruno Alves claims he is aware of interest from Chelsea.

The 27-year-old Portugal international claims he is 'open' to the possibility of moving to England where he has been touted as a potential replacement for compatriot Ricardo Carvalho at Stamford Bridge.

Carvalho, who joined the Blues from Porto in 2006, is unsettled in London and interesting Italian champions Internazionale.

"I'm open to a move to England," said Alves, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past.

"I'm aware of Chelsea's interest and also Barcelona.

"But I'm under contract to Porto and any decision comes down to the club."
