Advocaat denies Russia link

Zenit St Petersburg boss Dick Advocaat has rejected speculation that he could replace Guus Hiddink as coach of Russia. Hiddink is currently combining his duties as coach of the Russian national team with the task of managing Chelsea until the end of the season. The Dutchman has vowed to continue his role with Russia throughout the 2010 World Cup qualifiers and plans to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer. However, reports have claimed that Hiddink will sign a deal to stay with Chelsea permanently and will be replaced by his compatriot Advocaat with Russia. Advocaat, who has won the Russian league, Uefa Cup and Super Cup with Zenit, insists he is happy where he is and is disappointed to have been connected with the Russian national team post. Happy"I just heard about this 10 minutes ago, but I know nothing about the Russia job," said Advocaat. "Anyway, I never speak about a job that is occupied. "Guus is the coach of Russia at the moment and he is doing well. "So I want people to keep me out of it. "I am happy with Zenit. I have a contract with the club until the end of the season and so I don't like what I have heard. "I must stress that this speculation has not come from my side."
