AC Milan's Carlo Ancelotti edges closer to Chelsea job

Despite his constant denials, Ancelotti has long been linked with the managerial position at Chelsea given that their interim coach Guus Hiddink will return to managing Russia at the end of May. [LNB]However, according to the Mirror, Ancelotti has been having three English lessons a week over the last year as he prepares for a move to London. [LNB]Berlusconi said: "I believe the agreement between Ancelotti and our chief executive Adriano Galliani is this: 'We will sit around a table at the end of the season to discuss the future'. [LNB]"If he leaves, I would take the route of an emerging coach like we did in the times of Sacchi and Capello."[LNB]Meanwhile Ancelotti is confident of signing David Beckham on a permanent basis at the end of the year. [LNB]Beckham was meant to return to the Los Angeles Galaxy last month, but the Rossoneri struck a deal with the MLS side to extend his short-term loan deal at the San Siro until the end of the Serie A campaign. [LNB]The unique 'timeshare' agreement will then see Beckham return to America for the rest of the MLS season at which point another stint at the Serie A giants has been mooted. [LNB]Beckham will return to the United States and will stay there until the end of his contract, which expires in November. Then Milan will buy him in the winter transfer market."[LNB]He added: "David has proved himself to be an exemplary professional and I honestly didn't expect him to play at such a high level."[LNB][LNB]
