AC Milan are set to make a move for Tottenham star Gareth Bale and are prepared to offer Klaas Jan Huntelaar or Luca Antonini as part of the deal.

The Italian giants have long admired the Welshman, whose magnificent form during the second half of last season helped Spurs secure fourth spot and qualification for the Champions League.

Huntelaar was linked with a move to north London in the January transfer window, while Antonini has reportedly attracted interest from a host of clubs in the Premier League.

Any move for Bale is likely to come about, should Milan fail to lure Real Madrid defender Marcelo to the San Siro.
