AC Milan plot swoop for Premier League pair Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor

ShareAC Milan have become the latest club to throw their hat into the ring for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba. [LNB]The Ivorian is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer having seen his place in the starting XI threatened by the arrival of ?50million-man Fernando Torres. [LNB]Tottenham are believed to be the front-runners to secure Drogba's services although a new two-year deal at Chelsea is not out of the question. [LNB] Out: Emmanuel Adebayor and Didier Drogba could be off to Serie A this summer[LNB]The interest from others has not deterred Serie A champions Milan who are preparing a ?10m move for 33-year-old Drogba. [LNB]Any move is likely to hinge on the future of Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor. [LNB]The wantaway forward has spent the last six months on loan at Real Madrid and is desperately trying to force his parent club to do business with the La Liga giant.[LNB]Last month Adebayor said: 'I love Madrid, I want to continue. My friends tell me that I seem happier, even when I'm on the bench.'[LNB] Kings of Italy: Serie A champions AC Milan are looking to build on their first title success in seven years[LNB]Asked if City might be willing to lower their asking price, Adebayor added: 'I hope so, it's an intelligent club. They have many players and not everyone can stay. Hopefully they will be prepared to negotiate.'[LNB]Real will not stretch to more than ?12m for the Togo forward while City are hoping to recoup a significant chunk of the ?25m they paid Arsenal two years ago.[LNB]Should no deal materialise it seems likely that Jose Mourinho will turn his attention to Drogba while AC Milan will move for Adebayor.[LNB]Milan were runaway winners in Italy this season with a formidable forward line of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alex Pato and Robinho, all three of whom, not least the on-loan Swede, have question marks over their own future.[LNB] Bring me the new Drogba!
