Abramovich happy - Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti insists Roman Abramovich is satisfied with Chelsea's progress so far this season. The Blues lie second in the Barclays Premier League table, level on 18 points with leaders Manchester United despite last Saturday's shock 3-1 defeat at Wigan, and top their Champions League group. "I spoke to Roman when he came to the training ground today (Friday)," said Ancelotti. He is happy because his team is joint top of the Premier League and top of their Champions League group." Chelsea responded to their reverse at the DW Stadium by beating Cypriot champions Apoel Nicosia 1-0 in midweek, though it was hardly the emphatic victory Ancelotti wanted. But the former AC Milan coach is confident his side will perform against Liverpool - the 25th meeting of the clubs in five years. "We didn't play well but when that happens it's still important to win because it maintains a good atmosphere in the dressing room," he said. "It's an important game against Liverpool and there is a good spirit in the team. "When things don't go well you have to look at it and do analysis to resolve the problem. We've done this and that is my job. "Liverpool is a big test because they are a big team. Last season was fantastic for them and they have very good players. "We can win this game if we play better than Wednesday and I'm sure we'll play better.
