'Twin Hazards' ahead for the Premier League as Chelsea line up brothers in arms?

Eden Hazard has been terrorising Premier League defences since joining Chelsea in 2012, and next season the Blues' rivals could be in for some double trouble as younger brother Thorgan is set complete his loan spell with Belgian club Zulte-Waregem, and keen to join his big brother in England.

Thorgan was signed by the Blues as part of the deal that brought Eden Hazard to Chelsea from Lens in the summer of 2012. The younger brother was only 19 at the time however, and had limited experience of first team. He was loaned out with the aim of building up his game time to develop him into the sort of player capable of coping in the Premier League. Now 21, the player thinks his time may have come. Quoted in the Daily Star, he declared that "At the end of the season, I'll return to Chelsea, then we will discuss our options.” He clearly has aspirations for the 2014-15 season being the one when he moves into a more competitive league. He went on to add "But next season I would like to play in the Premier League or in the Bundesliga. Chelsea will decide, but I won't stay in Belgium."

This season has seen Hazard net 13 goals and record 19 assists for his Belgian club, and indications are that the development Chelsea thought necessary, may now be complete. Jose Mourinho is set for a substantial overhaul of his squad this summer, and he will be looking to offload a number of fringe players, which could open a gap for the younger Hazard brother. It may be however that it is decided to that a further loan period, perhaps in the Bundesliga as speculated by the player, may be the favoured route.

If that is the case, it may be a relief to many Premier League defences. The prospect of facing ‘double Hazards’ would not be a comforting thought.
