Former Walsall winger Ishmel Demontagnac is poised to earn a contract with Charlton Athletic after impressing while on trial at The Valley.
The 20-year-old left the Saddlers earlier this season after some off-field problems, having scored ten goals in 99 appearances for the League One club.
Addicks' first-team coach Mark Kinsella told the News Shopper: "Ishmel Demontagnac has been training with us and I knew him at Walsall.
"He has played a couple of games in the reserves for us and has got better and fitter as the weeks have gone on.
"A decision will be made on Ishmel and he has put himself in with an opportunity to further his career.
"We've given him that opportunity and he has done reasonably well."
