Waghorn stays with Addicks

Charlton Athletic have extended striker Martyn Waghorn's loan stay at The Valley for a second month.

The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the Addicks in three appearances during Monday's 2-2 draw with Derby County.

Waghorn will now remain with the Championship strugglers until January 17.

"Charlton could keep Waghorn - who can now be recalled by Sunderland with 24 hours' notice - for a third month, or it might be possible to switch his emergency loan status to a standard loan in January and keep him at The Valley for the remainder of the season," read a club statement.
