Thomas inks Addicks deal
19 Aug 2006 - 10:14:12
Charlton Athletic winger Jerome Thomas has penned a new three-year contract at The Valley.
The 23-year-old, who is currently recovering from a foot injury, has been with the Addicks since February 2004 and has now pledged his future to the club until the summer of 2009.
He told the club's official website: "It's a great incentive for me to get fit and playing again as quickly as possible.
"I'm delighted to sign a new contract. I have been negotiating since last season and I'm really pleased that it's all done and dusted now and I can get on with playing football.
"The new manager changed the situation a bit, but before my injury I think I showed enough.
"I've had a chat with the manager and I like the direction he's trying to take the club so I'm looking forward to it."
Thomas has scored four goals in 60 appearances for Charlton to date.
