Sodje seals Addicks return

Charlton Athletic have brought central defender Sam Sodje back to The Valley on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old stopper was a free agent after leaving Reading at the end of last season, having previously spent the 2007-08 campaign with the Addicks.

Sodje told the club's official website: "It's something I feel is right. I'm local to the area so Charlton is my club and I can't wait to get going.

"I had a few other clubs interested but this move is the one that's right for me. I loved it here before, this club is in my blood."

The Addicks also sealed the signing of Coventry City striker Leon McKenzie on deadline day, while midfielder Luke Holden has joined on loan from Welsh outfit Rhyl.
