Charlton Athletic midfielder Omar Pouso is desperate to leave the club after struggling to make an impression at The Valley this season.
Former Addicks boss Iain Dowie signed the 26-year-old Uruguay international last summer on loan from Penarol but Pouso has made only one first-team appearance for the club in the home defeat to Portsmouth in September.
"I am travelling to England to end the contract of Omar Pouso at Charlton Athletic," confirmed the player's agent, Gerardo Rabajda.
"The player has told me that he doesn't want to continue in a team in which he doesn't play because that takes chances away from him being recalled to the Uruguay national team.
"According to the Uruguayan FA rules, the only team in which he can play is at Penarol.
"I expect to get everything resolved as soon as possible because the coach of Penarol wants to have the player in his team before the championship begins."
