Charlton Athletic boss Phil Parkinson claimed a second-half lapse cost his side victory at Bristol City on Tuesday night.
The Championship basement side had led 1-0 at Ashton Gate on Tuesday evening after Tom Soares' 29th-minute header.
But two goals in four minutes from Dele Adebola after half-time left the Addicks on the losing side for the 19th time in the league this season.
"The first half was probably the best we've played, especially away from home, all season," he told the club's official website.
"But we didn't start the second half strongly enough and it has cost us.
"You have to see games through. We've shown in patches that we've got the quality to give teams a run for their money.
"But twice we weren't strong enough at the back and it has cost us the game."
