Parkinson: Addicks lacked spark

Deon Burton netted his 10th goal of the season to secure the win, heading headed home Lloyd Sam's cross after 25 minutes. The result helped the home side close the gap on league leaders Leeds to four points and Parkinson was delighted his side managed to grind out a result. "It was a complete contrast to our last two home performances where we won 5-1 and 4-2," he said. "We didn't play as well as we have done but we ground out a good result and an important result. "Sometimes after a midweek game your energy levels can be down. I also felt our decision-making on the ball wasn't as good as it has been. "But in saying that, the team showed many other qualities to get the result."
