Parkinson: Addicks going backwards

Published: 14 Mar 2010 - 11:11:01

Darren Ward's header, Christian Dailly's own goal and a brace from Steve Morison gave the Lions their fourth win in five matches and moved them to within a point of Charlton in the process. Parkinson fumed: "We cannot make as many mistakes as we did and expect to win. In the second half, too many individual mistakes cost us and we stopped doing the right things. "We weren't good enough in the second half. We said at half-time that we had done a lot of things well apart from the goal but we came out on the back foot and never got back from that. "I've said what I have to say to the lads, but they are an honest group. That was by far the worst performance of the season. We can only apologise for our performance. "We have taken a step backwards and we have to make sure we get back on track at Gillingham."
