Pardew keeps the faith

Charlton Athletic manager Alan Pardew has refused to start doubting his own abilities, despite a turbulent season with both the Addicks and West Ham United.
Pardew was shown the door by the Hammers in early December, but was back in work with Charlton within a couple of weeks and has helped the Addicks to keep their own fight for survival going until the final weeks of the campaign.
"I have been disappointed now and again with certain aspects of this game, but not in terms of my ability as a coach and a manager," said Pardew.
"If you lose that then I think you are in big trouble if you are the leader of a group.
"So I have never tried to let that affect me and I am certainly still in an area now where I feel positive about the team.
"There is no point in hiding from the fact that every game is a must-win and we must approach them that way.
"The commitment of this team cannot be faulted. We have got to stay unbeaten until the end of the season and see where we are."
