Pardew faces play-off misery

Charlton Athletic boss Alan Pardew has admitted that his side face a major challenge to try and secure a play-off place in the Championship.
A last-gasp 3-2 home defeat by Wolves left the Addicks four points adrift of the top six and looking unlikely to get a shot at making an immediate return to the top-flight.
He told the club's official website: "Logically, my head tells me that it's going to be difficult for us to get in the play-offs now.
"But you can't give up anything in this division and while it's still mathematically possible, we'll keep on giving it a go.
"In the first half they got a good goal and we let it affect us. The crowd started to play a negative part for us and we were edgy for the rest of the half.
"But after half-time we were excellent, we addressed a few things, got rid of a few demons and really bossed the game.
"We created chances and two magnificent saves prevented us from taking the lead. I think if we'd taken the lead we'd have won it.
"The last goal was a killer blow. After Leroy Lita had scored a fantastic equaliser, we could have gone away fairly happy. But we'll have to take that on the chin and go to the next game."
