Charlton Athletic have handed striker Chris Dickson a new one-year contract extension.
The 23-year-old is now contracted to the Addicks until summer 2010 after impressing manager Alan Pardew since his arrival from non-league Dulwich Hamlet 18 months ago.
The striker, who is eligible for the Ghana national side, spent time on loan with Gillingham and Crewe last season.
"Negotiations had been ongoing for a while now, but I'm glad we have all come to an agreement which keeps me at the club for an extra year," he told the club's official website.
"The gaffer has clearly shown faith in me by offering me a new deal and now is the time for me to start repaying him, the club, and most importantly, the fans, who have continued to support me."
