Charlton Athletic defender Cory Gibbs will miss the rest of the season after being forced to undergo a second knee operation.
The 26-year-old USA international has yet to feature for the Addicks since his arrival from Feyenoord last summer due to knee problems.
The Addicks' medical department head Wayne Diesel told the club's official website: "The latest operation took place on January 3 and Cory has now started his early rehabilitation in the US and feels a lot happier about his knee.
"He's currently still in the US being assessed as the swelling goes down after the operation and we hope to have him back at the club at the end of January to pick up his progress.
"We are not going to rush things."
