Mooney back with Addicks

Charlton Athletic have re-signed Reading striker Dave Mooney on a 28-day loan after the Irishman's recovery from a knee injury.

The 25-year-old admitted he was glad to be back at The Valley to add to the 11 appearances he made for Phil Parkinson's side earlier in the season.

"The last four weeks have been a long, hard slog getting back fit," Mooney told Charlton's official website.

"I was hoping to get back into action quickly and hoping I could get back here, so I'm really happy."

Parkinson has revealed that the arrival of Mooney may not be the last during the January transfer window, though conceded that his budget is tight.

He said: "We'd like to add another fresh face, but we won't know whether we can until later on.

"We had a board meeting last Friday and the board is working exceptionally hard to give us every chance of getting promoted this season."

Meanwhile, midfielder Dean Sinclair has returned to the club after a loan spell with Barnet.
