Charlton Athletic boss Alan Pardew was delighted to see his faith in loan striker Leroy Lita repaid with two goals in the 2-1 victory at Plymouth Argyle.
Pardew almost replaced Lita early on at Home Park, after seeing goalkeeper Nicky Weaver red-carded for handling outside his area, but decided to leave the Reading frontman on the pitch.
He said after the game: "I was under massive pressure because I had to make the sub immediately. I took as long as I could and I just couldn't take Lita off.
"After his goal last week, I could see in training that he was right in form. Fortunately, maybe, it might be just in time.
"He had those two or three games where he settled in and he didn't score and we didn't win. There was some criticism of him even during the games at Charlton.
"But I think you can see now that he has definitely got the talent to get us promoted, if we can get in the play-offs."
