Iwelumo poised for transfer

Charlton Athletic striker Chris Iwelumo appears to be on the verge of a transfer to Wolves only 12 months after moving to The Valley.

The 29-year-old was the Addicks' top scorer last term, finding the net ten times in 50 appearances for Alan Pardew's side.

However, the Charlton boss told the club's official website: "We have some players leaving soon. Chris Iwelumo is possibly leaving and so could Marcus Bent."

The Scottish forward has scored 67 goals in 270 League appearances during a career that has taken in permanent spells at Stoke City and Colchester United as well as loan periods at York City, Cheltenham Town and Brighton.
