Burnley's Andy Gray looks set to join Charlton Athletic after the two clubs finally agreed on a fee for the experienced striker.
The move, subject to 30-year-old Gray agreeing personal terms, will be for an initial fee of £1.5million, which could rise to £2million with add-ons.
The former Sunderland and Sheffield United striker has scored 13 goals for the Clarets this season, which attracted the Addicks' boss Alan Pardew's attention at the beginning of the January transfer window.
The South London outfit have had a substantial seven-figure bid turned down this week, however a new offer proved to be too good to turn down.
Manager Owen Coyle spoke of his disappointment at the loss, telling the club's official website: "I have to say we never wanted to lose Andy at any point, which is why we rejected the first bid.
"However at that point Andy came to me and said he wanted to leave. I am disappointed how it all ended."
