Dowie ponders legal action

Charlton Athletic manager Iain Dowie is considering taking legal action after his feud with Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan escalated.
Jordan is suing Dowie for fraudulent misrepresentation after he asked to be released from his contract with the Eagles during the summer, only to then accept a job offer from Charlton.
The pair's public war of words had shown signs of dying down, before Jordan gave a typically straight-talking interview to The Times on Thursday.
"I am saddened that Simon Jordan has again spoken to the press about his grudge against me and in such a personal way," Dowie told Charlton's official website.
"I believe the courts are the right place to decide the truth.
"My lawyers and I are confident I will be vindicated when the case goes to court next summer.
"I will then decide whether I want to sue Simon personally for the defamatory comments he has made.
"In the meantime, I am not going to let anything distract me from doing my job at Charlton and focusing all my attention on the team's performance."
