Charlton Athletic have confirmed that veteran defender Christian Dailly will stay at the club next season after he penned a new deal. The 36-year-old, who was named as the Addicks' player of the year last term, will stay at The Valley until next summer, news that has delighted manager Phil Parkinson. Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "It's great news for the club and we're very pleased to be able to extend Christian's contract for the forthcoming season. "We're in the middle of making some big changes, and it's important to keep some continuity in the squad, so Christian's experience will be invaluable. "His influence on the team, on and off the pitch, was there for everyone to see last season, and it's an important signing for us."
