Charlton agree on Mooney extension
Published : 26 Nov 2009 17:29:17

The 25-year-old Irishman has scored twice in six appearances for the Addicks and will now stay on at The Valley until December 28, although Reading do have a 24-hour recall clause. Charlton have been further boosted by the return to fitness of midfielder Dean Sinclair, who played for 30 minutes in the reserves' 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient on his comeback from a long-term knee injury. Youngster Alex Stavrinou, meanwhile, has joined Ebbsfleet on a month's loan. The midfielder has moved to Charlton's non-league neighbours to get some first-team football under his belt. Meanwhile, the Addicks decided not to extend the loan spell of Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, who has since linked up with Sheffield United. Ikeme arrived at The Valley as cover from Rob Elliot, who is now on his way back from a groin injury.
