Scott Carson still believes Charlton Athletic can beat the drop to the Championship, even after Saturday's 4-1 drubbing at
Blackburn Rovers left the Addicks two points away from safety with only two games of the season left.
After a goalless first half at Ewood Park, Carson's gaffe allowed Jason Roberts to break the stalemate, and Charlton's cause was not helped when Ben Thatcher was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Carson, who is on a season-long loan at The Valley from Liverpool, has also not ruled out the possibility of joining Alan Pardew's side on a permanent basis.
"I like the club, I like everyone here and I like the players," he said.
"Hopefully we can get a few more points and stay up and then hopefully it will be a possibility.
"I've enjoyed it here. The main thing is that I've been playing games.
"The season could have been a bit smoother - we've had three different managers and everything like that - but I'm just happy to be playing games - that's what I want to do.
"We definitely need to pick up three points against Spurs and the lads will be hoping that we can have a better performance than we did against Blackburn.
"From a personal point of view I hope that I can put in a better performance."
