Bouazza happy at The Valley

Winger Hameur Bouazza is hoping to get his career back on track during a season-long loan stay with Charlton Athletic.

The 23-year-old had struggled to make his mark at Fulham last season and is pleased to have a fresh chance to impress at The Valley.

He told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased to be here. I needed to get away from Fulham to get some games and I think this will be the best move for me.

"When a new manager comes in he often wants to bring his own staff and bring in new players. I accept that, so the only thing you can do is work hard and do your best and see what happens.

"Roy Hodgson is a good manager, he likes to help the young players and I have no problem with him, but I really want to play first-team football, get some games and show what I can do week in, week out.

"When it looked like I wasn't going to play too much for Fulham this season, it was an easy decision to come to Charlton."
