Bailey aims for final flourish

Charlton Athletic midfielder Nicky Bailey is hoping to sign off a dismal season with a rare high against Norwich City on Sunday.

The already-relegated Addicks host a side fighting for their lives at the foot of the table in the final round of Championship fixtures, but Bailey claims there is no room for sentiment.

"You always want to win your last game of the season to send everyone away happy and hopefully we can do that on Sunday," he told the club's official website.

"I'm hoping Sunday will be a happy day for us, but not such a happy day for Norwich.

"Apart from the second half at Derby, we have been playing well in the last few games.

"Hopefully we can put in a performance like the ones against Cardiff and Blackpool and take the three points to send the fans off with something to smile about."
