Ailing Addicks drop more points
20 Mar 2010 - 17:16:55
Charlton Athletic and Gillingham drew 2-2 at The Valley as the Addicks' push for automatic promotion faltered.
Frazer Richardson put Charlton ahead but Andy Barcham and Dennis Oli scored for Gillingham to give them a 2-1 lead at the break. David Mooney, who is on loan from Reading, made it 2-2 with half-an-hour left.
Goals from Jordan Rhodes and Theo Robinson were enough to give Huddersfield a 2-0 win at Leyton Orient while Rickie Lambert scored his first hat-trick since March 2009 to give Southampton a comfortable victory at MK Dons.
Brighton won 2-0 at Oldham thanks to a first-half goal from Elliott Bennett and a second-half own goal by Jonathan Worthington.
Despite going 2-0 down after just 13 minutes, Southend United came back to draw 2-2 with Carlisle United. Scott Dobie and Ben Marshall had put the visitors ahead but goals from Franck Moussa and Adam Barrett turned the game on its head.
Charlie MacDonald scored the only goal of the game to give Brentford a narrow 1-0 win over Stockport County at Edgeley Park.
Grant Holt's goal after 52 minutes looked to have secured all three points for Norwich City against Swindon Town but Gordon Greer hit back in stoppage time to sneak a draw for Danny Wilson's team.
Ten-man Walsall beat Colchester thanks to a Darren Byfield winner four minutes into stoppage time. Mark Hughes was sent off in first-half stoppage time to leave the home side with ten men for the second half.
Exeter City hit back from two goals down to draw with Wycombe. Gareth Ainsworth put the home side 1-0 up after 55 minutes before Stuart Bevon doubled their lead just six minutes later. However, Liam Sercombe pulled one back for the visitors and then Richard Logan completed the comeback one minute before the final whistle.
A Jo Osei-Kuffour brace helped Bristol Rovers secure a 3-0 win over Yeovil, Paul Heffernan grabbing the other goal.
