Charlton Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Denmark Under-21 international Martin Christensen from Herfolge Boldklub.
The Addicks have agreed to pay an initial £250,000 for the 19-year-old right-winger, while the Premiership strugglers will also enter a three-year partnership with Herfolge that could see youth players spending time with the Danish first division club.
Christensen has agreed a four-year contract at The Valley and will join compatriots Dennis Rommedahl and young goalkeeper Mads Nielsen at the club.
"Martin's a great prospect and we think very highly of him," manager Alan Pardew told the club's official website.
"It's going to be a big step-up for him to this level of football, but he's of a good age and we feel he'll progress very quickly with us."
Christensen, who also represented Denmark and various youth levels, has put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement.
