Charlton Athletic have completed the loan signing of Manchester City right-back Danny Mills, on a deal running until the end of the year.
The 30-year-old former England defender returns to the club where he spent just over a year in the late 1990s, having fallen down the pecking order with the Citizens.
Addicks boss Alan Pardew told the club's official website: "The reason we brought Danny Mills to the club is we feel we are lacking a bit of organisation at the back and at times a little bit of experience.
"I think Danny will be important for us and with Yassin Moutaouakil still three or four weeks away, it is a good signing.
"He's coming back to a club that he knows well. He had an absolutely fantastic offer to go to Leeds United, but his heart was always a little bit with Charlton.
"He couldn't wait to get back here and I hope the fans respond to him the way he has responded in training, because he's been great so far."
