Charlton Athletic have completed the signings of Liverpool defender Djimi Traore and Newcastle United midfielder Amady Faye, both costing £2million.
The pair have both penned three-year contracts at The Valley, having seen their first-team opportunities limited at their previous clubs.
Twenty-six-year-old Traore had been with the Reds since February 1999, making nearly 150 appearances for the Anfield outfit.
Faye, 29, only joined the Magpies in January 2005, making 45 appearances following his £2million switch from Portsmouth.
Addicks boss Iain Dowie told the club's official website: "We're delighted to have made two quality signings and they will both improve our first-team squad.
"We're also working very hard on several other signings and we hope to be able to make further announcements soon."
