Charlton Athletic chief executive Peter Varney has announced his intention to leave the club at the end of the season.
Varney will end his decade-long tenure at The Valley in June after citing 'personal reasons' for his departure.
"I am naturally sad to be leaving and I only hope the club will be back in the Premier League when I do so," he told the club's official website.
"I have enjoyed every minute of my time at the club and will look back with pride on some of the achievements made, in particular the development of The Valley into the modern stadium it is today."
Charlton plc chairman Richard Murray added: "He is without doubt the most impressive individual I have worked with throughout my business career.
"His passion, commitment and energy for this football club has been inspiring."
