Charlton Athletic have called for patience as they continue to hold talks with the Dubai-based investors keen to takeover at The Valley.
Last week the current board of the Addicks recommended an offer from Zabeel Investments be accepted.
However, they have called for patience from supporters seeking further news as the takeover talks continue.
"We are of course very aware that supporters are desperate to know more, but I'm afraid there are strict regulations that we must adhere to at the present time," chairman Derek Chappell told the club's official website.
"A confidentiality agreement has been signed between all parties and we cannot contravene that.
"I'm not one for using the phrase 'no comment' as I usually have plenty to say in heading up the club, but we have rules to follow in the current situation.
"I'd like to reassure fans that we will relay any new information to them as soon as we are permitted to."
