Addicks boss calls for cool heads

The Addicks have not met their derby rivals in the league for 28 years, and while Parkinson is expecting a white-hot atmosphere he knows his players must stay calm if they are to maintain their fine start to the season. "It's a big game, it's a derby and it means a lot to the supporters," said Parkinson. "We've got nearly 2,500 fans going and we're going to treat it like a home game. That means being positive and taking the game to Gillingham. "It's important we do that, but equally, as much as we want the players to show passion and commitment, we've got to play with cool heads as well."
